Island Cup Enduro

Hornby Island was host to a stop on the Island Cup Enduro Circuit on July 8th.  HIMBA presented the event and the riders were blown away by our trails and agreed that the organization and atmosphere were among the best they had seen all year.

Several Hornby riders took part and local rider Jody Rutherford pulled off a 2nd place finish in the extremely competitive Expert Men category.

Thanks to the local and off-island volunteers who made the event happen, Especially series organizer Chris Makuch, without whom the event would not have happened.

Thanks to Hornby Organic for the donation of several cases of their fantastic energy bars, they were used at the feed station at the top of Cold deck trail. The riders especially liked the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter. The Hornby Bike shop and several off-island bike shops donated much-appreciated draw prizes.
