We had a great time during the 2025 HIMBA DS Throwdown at the August HIMBA-Q. Turn out was just right, with four kids, four women, and 8 19+ men. This made for clean racing brackets and minimal confusion.
We ran a double-knockout format which meant that everyone had a chance to race at least twice, and even if you lost early, you could still make your way back to the finals.
• Sasha Bone was the women’s winner with local gal Tess Armstrong Was coming 2nd.
• Oliver Reid took the kid’s race over his Brother Archie.
• Tyler Martin Del Campo won in the men’s category over simi-local Ardin Bevington.
